Founder / Advisor
I’m a Tampa based Seattle transplant who’s founded or co-founded seven organizations, both for-profit and nonprofit. A big fan of groups pioneering ideas and creating fundamentally useful programs and products, I believe we can make a difference to the people around us, and do everything with that in mind.
I’m co-founder of the ModMy family of forums and news sites, which amassed over 1.5 million members and has over 1 million daily page views. Our focus is on mobile device development and design.
In 2012, I co-founded Laicos, a startup studio based in Tampa, FL. We develop ideas into products, and products into companies. Our in-house team is focused on rapid prototyping and quick paths to market.
In my wife Robyn and I’s non-profit work with Because of Ezra I am passionate about seeing a cure for neuroblastoma and other solid-mass pediatric cancers, and work on fundraising and advocacy. We lost our 2 year old son Ezra to neuroblastoma in 2010. I also have a passion for sustainable community development, and sit on the board for One City Ministries, a non-profit based in Uganda.
